We are pleased announce that 10927 Decatur Dr is the winner of the 2022 Fairfax Villa Neighborhood Association Halloween Decorating Contest! The Contest Committee enjoyed their entire display, but were especially impressed with the ghost that moved throughout their entire yard! (If you missed it, you’ll need to check it out next year).
The creepy “HELP ME” display at 4400 San Marcos haunted the committee. The display was particularly striking at night! Congratulations on winning runner up!
We are grateful to all neighbors that put out displays for Halloween. The judging was tough and we recognize the following households for their great displays that were also up for consideration:
4304 San Juan Dr (spooky woodshed)
4425 San Carlos (skeletons in the bathroom)
4329 Alta Vista (pastel skeletons)
4406 San Marcos (Stephen King’s It…)
We are also thankful to all of the neighbors that gave out candy, and the children that participated by dressing up and trick-or-treating. You all make this holiday fun!
Finally, we must send a big thank you to our sponsors: Ace Hardware in Fairfax provided the first prize (a 3/8” drive Dewalt drill, Dewalt 45 piece screwdriving set, and Dewalt 16” Tradesman’s Tool Bag). Sliver Whiskers Petsitting (www.silverwhiskerspets.com) provided the runner up prize – Decaying Zombie Groundbreaker and Fresh Grave Mound kit!
Signed,
The 2021 Fairfax Villa Neighborhood Association Halloween Decorating Contest Committee
