Fairfax Villa showed its spooky side for Halloween, and so many families in the neighborhood decked out their yards for trick-or-treaters! The Fairfax Villa Decorating Committee had the difficult job of deciding on a winner for the annual Halloween Decorating Contest and narrowed down all the amazing decorations to three yards that demonstrated extreme creativity and epitomized the spirit of Halloween:
Winner! 4215 San Juan: Every square inch of this yard was filled with creepiness, and the dolls carrying a corpse in front of a doll house really stood out for its spine-tingling creativity!
Runner Up: 10927 Decatur: This yard continues to have a consistently solid scary display that always has some new and creepy elements, from spiders to ghosts to clowns!
Honorable Mention: 4425 San Carlos: The skeleton pickle ball game was so clever, funny and timely!
Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to the entire Villa for helping to keep the spirit of Halloween alive and kicking!
Hello Villa!
I'm very excited to announce that, despite the continued pandemic, the Fairfax Villa Neighborhood Association will continue the Halloween Decorating Contest Tradition (this is our 7th year)! We will continue to conduct the contest socially distanced. This year, we'll be judging displays on the day of October 29th, 30th and 31st! So, please have your decorations out by the 30th!
